El Nido island hopping Tour A
Island Tour A is mostly recommended for first time tourists or travelers when visiting El Nido, Palawan. For our group we were 14 on this tour and mostly Filipinos. I can feel the excitement of every person in the boat. All wondering of what is in store for us in this tour. Like most said, and I would agree that you need to experience island hopping in El Nido to see its best. The destination highlights for El Nido Island hopping tour A are the different lagoons (small lagoon, secret lagoon and big lagoon), simizu island and 7 commando beach.
Our first island destination for the Island Tour A is the Small lagoon. The tour boats cannot get inside the lagoon therefore a Kayak, which other guest preferred, are great on this destination. Some of us chose to swim and aqua shoes are required to protect yourself from sneaky sea urchins. We swam from the boat’s docking area going through the crack between the gigantic walls of the limestones. At the entrance of the lagoon, I was a little bit terrified with the depth of its water and swam as fast as I could on the small rock island at the center of the lagoon. After then I realized how beautiful the place was. I think you can enjoy the place better with a kayak where you can wander inside the small lagoon.
We are now off to our next destination which is the Secret Lagoon. The name itself excites me and lifts my expectation of the site. Sadly for me, nothing grand on this place but it’s worth the experience. The lagoon is hidden within an island where a small cave is the entrance. During that time, the water was a little cold and there are insects all over the place. We didn’t stay long and headed back to the boat.
Simizu Island was our lunch area for this tour. A small island surrounded by clear waters of El Nido, rock formations and a scene of towering mountains. A good place for lunch that I can say. We had fun swimming on its warm water and taking pictures of its refined view while the guides are preparing our lunch.
The guides served a very well-presented lunch for us, A+ for the effort. We had eggplant salad as appetizer, grilled fish, grilled squid, grilled pork with rice for the main dish, pineapples and yellow watermelons as a dessert.
When we are reaching our next destination, the huge rock formations are noticeable around the area. There are no activity other than kayaking or picture taking here. But the deep emerald waters surrounded by the huge rock formations are great for taking picture from the tip of the boat. This is one of the destination you shouldn’t miss when taking the El Nido island hopping tour A.
7 Commandos Beach
The last destination for our Island hopping is the 7 Commandos beach. The name of the beach was derived from the the carvings on huge stones that says ‘seven commandos’ found by the locals on the island according to our guide. The island is characterized by its long powdery white sands that feels great on my bare feet. This is perfect as the last island destination for the Island tour A. There are cottages, swings and benches near the shore where you can take a rest and feel the breeze of the sea air.
On our stay here, we bought fresh coconut juice and halo-halo sold by a mini bar here. Enjoyed walking on the shore and had a great time with the swings.
The El Nido island hopping tour A was an enjoyable first tour for us. We were in awe with most of the destinations that we’ve been in this tour.
